Notepad Holders

Wow! I've really been in my "creative mode" the past few days! I've had so many cards to make and I guess they've inspired me to try some other projects too!
These are super easy notepad holders. The notepad inside is a jr legal pad cut in half. You can have this done at Staples or Office Maxx. The outside "book" is simply cardstock cut to 5.5x8.25 and scored at 2 5/8 x 2 7/8. I also used some paper on the inside to cover the notepad binding.
For the first holder, I used Tempting Turquoise cardstock + the pretty Petals & Paisley DS paper (now retired) & stamps (still available). Brads, ribbon, and the scallop circle punch complete the project.
For the second holder, I used paper from the Simply Scrappin' Summer Days kit and ribbon from Jersey Ribbon Originals. I also used the scallop circle punch + the 5 star flower punch and punched the tiny circle from "Make it Count" hostess set w/the 1/2" circle.
These are perfect for gifts or to brighten up your desk at home or work!

God is Love

Yes, He really is! I'm so thankful to be able to personally testify to the statement on this card! I love this little set because the images are so cute and sweet and the words below them are even better! I'm sending this card to someone who I'm really praying for; that she'll truly know and understand God's love.

Stamps: God is Love
Cardstock: Real Red, Bashful Blue, Wild Wasabi, Whisper White
Ink: markers-in same colors as cardstock
Other: double stitched ribbon-Wild Wasabi

Did you realize that Easter is March 23rd this year?? I can't believe it's so early!
Check out this adorable gift bag! It's made from a brown paper lunch sack! I got this idea from Beate's awesome blog. I used a flower from the Pretties kit, brads, and Prints Designer Series paper. What do you think? More Easter projects to follow...soon!

Upcoming Card Class

As originally scheduled in my February newsletter, this card class will be held on Thursday, February 28, around 6pm. It features the cute set "A Little Birdie Told Me" which includes lots of great word phrases & of course cute little birds. We will make 4 cards, including the criss cross as pictured. We'll also make a pull treat (w/candy bar), a coaster sticky note holder (pictured), use stampin' pastels, & try paper piercing. This will be a fun class and you might just learn something new:)

Email me for more details and to reserve your place. Also, kits will be available past the class date.

Thank You's for Prayers, Meals, Support

These past couple of weeks we have received so many cards, emails, visitors, and meals. We are so blessed to have such loving family and friends. It's a pleasure to have such a long thank-you list to make and send cards to. I love the verse from Psalms on the 2nd card below. God has definitely been our refuge and strength through our recent trial.

Bithday Thank-you's

Here are Gabriel's birthday thank-you cards that I will send out. Notice the continued coordinating theme! I love this set and have used it so much!
Stamps: Wild About You, Happy Heart Day (thank you)
Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Whisper White
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise, Chocolate Chip
Others: Natural Hemp Twine, Tempting Turquoise grosgrain ribbon, Fresh Favorites 1 buttons

Gabriel's Birthday Wrap-Up

As you can tell by the invites below, I used the "Wild About You" stamp set for Gabriel's one-year-old birthday theme. Melissa Sibert was kind enough to actually decorate his cake with Wild About You animals and my theme colors! As you can see, she did an excellent job!
Using the stamp set, I also stamped napkins and cute little lollipop holders. Instead of crepe paper streamers, I used SU double-sided paper to make paper chains! The party was great and Gabriel had alot of fun...especially eating his cake!

Basketball Treat Bags

These are treat bags that I made for Zeb's basketball game on Saturday. I used the "Sporting" stamp set. This is a super versatile set for any sport. I've used it for b-day cards, name frames, gift bags, etc.

Cardstock: Brocade Blue, Whisper White

Ink: Brilliant Blue, Real Red, Basic Black, Only Orange

Other: cellophane bags, dimensionals

Note: the basketball is NOT part of the Sporting set. It's just a random stamp I had from somewhere! However, there is a current set called "Just Basketball" which includes a ball + more on p.79 in the catalog.

Some Cute Valentine's Cards

Here's a few Valentine's cards that I thought were cute, using various stamp sets. Don't forget to make one to send or give to someone you love next week!
