Creative License Simply Scrappin'

I used the Creative License Simply Scrappin' scrapbook kit for an album I gave my mother-inb-law for her birthday! I was really pleased with how it turned out! I filled it with photos of both Zeb and Gabriel. She loved it!
This is a really cute kit and very versatile! I've seen it used for 3-D items as well as cards and scrapbooks. The colors are Pumpkin Pie, Soft Sky, Wild Wasabi, and Blue Bayou. This is a hostess level 1 kit, so you can get this for yourself by hostessing a workshop! Let me know if you're interested!

Chipboard Christmas Ornaments

Inspired by the new holiday mini....love those On Board Trimmings!...I decided to play around with some chipboard I already have and make these star ornaments! I used On Board Accents. I swiped one of the stars in Rose Red Craft ink, used the scalloped circle punch on Wild Wasabi, and stamped and punched the greeting from the retired "Riveting."
I covered the other star with liquid glue and then pressed it onto a piece of double-sided paper. I then cut around the star and finished it off by using my sanding blocks (for the first time!) around the edges. The "Merry Christmas" greeting is punched from the "Party Punch" set (hostess level 1). Both stars are finished off with ribbon. They really make very cute ornaments! If you absolutely love these, place an order sometime between September 1-15 and you'll receive one for FREE!! OR contact me and I'll help you make your own!

MORE Christmas Cards!

Here's a couple of more cute Christmas cards using some traditional Christmas colors. I used the new "Dashing" double-sided paper for both cards, which really added a lot, I think. And the best part is...they're both very simple to put together! If you'd like to make these two cards + others, contact me to sign up for the Christmas stamp-a-stack in October!
Santa "ho-ho" card: Holiday Tag Team, Headline Alphabet, "Dashing" designer series paper, Whisper White, Old Olive, & Real Red.
JOY card: Whimsical Alphabet Lower (retired), "Dashing" designer series paper, Whisper White, Old Olive, Real Red, Circle punches, & dimensionals.

After "wrapping up" the Christmas stamp camp this past weekend, I kind of got into the Christmas card-making spirit! I decided to get a few of my Christmas sets out and play around with some ideas. Here's what I came up with so far. I think these cards are pretty yet they were so simple to make! As some of you know, I'll be offering a Christmas Stamp-a-Stack sometime in October. I will have details on this event soon!

Another QUICK 6x6 Album-in-an-Evening!

I had a few spare minutes last night after the scrapbook class to play around with a little 6x6 album for myself. Actually, I'm thinking about giving this one to a little friend of Zeb's in Ohio. Her birthday is in September, so I'm really planning ahead here! The point is, though, this was soooo quick and easy! I used the same layouts as the ladies used for their albums (see posts below). However, instead of a Simply Scrappin' kit, I used designer series paper (Petals and Paisley) and die cuts from one of the Accents and Elements tins. These tins are full of self-adhesive die cuts, just like the Scrappin' kits, but on a smaller scale (there's not as many), and there's no paper included. Just add photos and another quick easy scrapbook is complete!
Plus, I found these cute albums at the dollar store! They're 6x6 in size and hold 20 pages in plastic page protectors. Many of the colors matched the Simply Scrappin' kits really well, so I included one with each kit purchase for the class. Contact me if you're interested in receiving one of these cute albums with your Simply Scrappin' kit purchase and schedule a class date with me!

Stampin' & Scrappin'!

Here's some recent pages I made for Gabriel's album. These pictures are adorable! I had so much fun using stamps on these pages! The stamped images coordinate so well with the pictures! And my titles were a breeze! Of course, with such a cute subject, the pages are bound to turn out perfect! Check these out and let me know what you think!

Scrapbook-In-An-Evening Success!

The Scrapbook-In-An-Evening class was a success! Using the Simply Scrappin kits, four ladies created their very own albums in about 2 hours! They simply followed given layouts, used pre-cut paper, & chose coordinating self-adhesive die cuts from the kits! Pam, Amanda, Sherry, and Glenna all did an amazing job! Check out these photos of some of their album pages.

It's a Wrap!

We "wrapped up" the Christmas stamp camp on Saturday. That was the make-up day for anyone who didn't make it to the original camp in July. Thanks to everyone who participated! This was my first camp ever!! I'd like to send a special thanks out to Melissa Sibert who designed the circle tote, gift box, and organizer cover. I modified some of her original designs for the camp I held on Saturday. She has been so helpful and willing to lend me some of her punches, stamps, and ink! I appreciate it so much!
Here's some of the items the ladies made on Saturday. The organizer is one of the 5x5 on board albums. The gift box features 2 dyeable silk flowers from the new pretties kit! We used Wintergreen paper and some of the new In Colors for the circle tote, gift card holder, and tags. If you're interested in directions or info about any of the items pictured below, contact me!

Elegant Baroque

I thought this was a pretty "thinking of you" card. I found the layout idea on splitcoast but changed up the stamps and colors. I used versamark on everything except the white paper and greeting! I didn't have the Close to Cocoa ink, so it worked really well!

Here's another card using Baroque Motifs. This is such a pretty and elegant set! I also used it on a gift bag (see previous posts below). Simple additions to your card can add so much. I used the scalloped circle punch, glitter glue, and a crystal brad.

BE HAPPY Chipboard Tag

This is a large tag that I made using the On Board Accents chipboard. I decorated it using the Be Happy stamp set. This is a nice set for a variety of occassions. Check out the 6x6 easy scrapbook page I made using this set as well!

Pick-A-Petal Cards

Here's a couple of very simple cards using Pick-a-Petal stamp set! No cutting or coloring! Stamping Only! Very easy and cute!

Cute Crab Pages & Cards!

We had an awesome time at Myrtle Beach! Gabriel loved the water! He had this adorable crab float to play in! The pictures turned out so cute, I couldn't wait to get home to create some scrapbook pages & a card! I used the Crab & Co. set...which is so sweet! This set is actually on the dormant list (I just found out) so it IS available for ordering! Yeah!!

Baroque Motifs...Pretty Gift Bag & Card!

Here's the gift bag and card for my cousin's graduation gift. The colors all coordinate with the desk set I made. I used the NEW Baroque Motifs for the bag and card. I LOVE this set!

I also included some monogrammed cards. I used the Big and Little Pieces sets, Headline Alphabet, Spring Flower Bouquet Punch, & some Rhinestone Brads!

New Teacher Gift

This is part of a gift set that I'm making for my cousin, Erica. She graduated in May and will be starting her first teaching job next month! I thought these items would be useful to her. This is my first attempt making an altered clipboard! I used some paper I had from the 06' Winter Mini. The new LeJardin paper is similar, but with different colors. I also used the Office Accoutrement and Stamp of Authenticity sets. I made a pocket in the middle and plan to put a notepad in it. I also used a lower-case "e" from On Board Simon Lower.

The journal is from the $1 bin at Michaels. I covered it & used the spiral punch and added tabs using the tab punch. The mini tins have paper clips, push pins, and staples in them. I used the 1/4" and 3/8" punches for the top. I'm adding a stapler, teacher stickers, sticky notes, & some large paperclip/bookmarks. I might also make some monogrammed stationary, if I get a chance. I will post more next week. I was pleased with the overall outcome and I look forward to altering some more clipboards!!

Cherishing my Chipboard!!

I am trying to be more creative in using my chipboard. I really do like it!! It just seems as though I don't get it out much. BUT with all the awesome chipboard in the new catalog...I'm going to have to get started! This card features the "negative" space of the heart shape which is part of the On Board Accents. I used the Cameo Coral craft pad to color the chipboard. This layout inspiration came from a recent SU Demo magazine. The greeting is from my favorite word set: "Warm Words." I was pleased with how this card turned out....soft and pretty. I think I will "cherish" it and display it in my card box!

A QUICK thank you card!

This card was VERY easy and quick to make....my favorite kind these days!! These colors kind of reminded me of the new In Colors Wild Wasabi and Purely Pomegranate. Of course there's not really a comparison! I saw them first-hand last night. I can't wait to get my own! Soooo....for the time being, I used Green Galore and Rose Red. The Seeing Spots set makes a cute and fun card!

And the circle punches go great with the spots!

Bye Bye Big Blooms...

I really like this Big Blooms set from the spring mini. However, it's NOT in the new catty:( I guess that's one more of my sets to add to the list!! Anyway, I thought this was a cute summer card. The small flowers fit great in the 1/4" punch! I added the "grass" for something different!

Wild About THIS SET!!

I LOVE the SU Wild About You set! I'm sooo glad it made the cut into the new catalog! I've been playing around with some little 3x3 note cards using these stamps. The inspiration came from Heather Summers' blog. Check it out: http://www.stampwithheather.typepad.com/.
Then, I used Seeing Spots with the blue lion card and topped it off with some Hodgepodge Hardware and Twill tape! I hope to also use this set for some pages in Gabriel's scrapbook!
